hi im starting a learn at home gel nail course and im looking for a cheap workstation and a chair. cant seem to find anything please help????

Probably one of the cheapest nail stations you'll be able to find will be one like that on sale at Sally's, but most major beauty wholesalers such as Capital Hair and Beauty, Beauty Express and Salons Direct also sell a wide variety at varying prices.

Sally Express | K-LINE MANICURE TABLE

PS: Failing that, an ironing board is always a good place to start ... every home has one, and you can lower or higher it to your exact specifications.

I got mine from Ikea...table top (choice of colours and sizes) was about £25 and the legs where about £7....I do not believe that you HAVE to spend x amount of money of a "real" table....i prefer to have mine to my requirements and price.

Some things are a must for proffesionals...other things are adaptable to suit.

This is what I have too Angie and it is fab.

Salonserve also sell reasonably priced desks, I just bought a pedicure stool from them last week.

.

I got that EXACT table!! i totally know the one you are talking about...you can get the top and legs in different finishes. I opted for the white top and powder coated white legs...and that was the exact price, £25 for the top and £7 each for the legs. I have this one in my salon and 2 nail technicians work at it. All these nail stations you see advertised for sale on specialist site , i think, are SUCH a rip off. I also got my client chairs from Ikea, tehy have such a good selection of styles. I bought 2 therapist stools on ebay, its worth a looking at for some bargins. :green:

I was a bit pushed to fins something suitable for the size of my salon, but before I had the salon I used a fold up wooden table from Ikea, it was £5, and then just a dining room chair. It is the perfect height, and ok doesnt have alot of room on the table but its enough to be getting on with!

xxxx

I use this desk from Argos - it costs about £30 and is perfect! The shelves at one end make a great retail display are for the likes of solar oil etc, and the drawers are a perfect size for not losing things in!

The only downside is the back of the drawers is not enclosed, but i just got a small bit of matching wood for about £2 from B&Q and my husband fixed it over it for me - Voila!

Buy Malibu 3 Drawer Desk - Beech Effect. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Office desks.

Its also a great width for a nail tach - some non-nail desks can be too wide, this is nice and narrow!

Ill upload my new one in my album in my profile in a min..
I only paid £25 for it..
I will have to replace the stools at some point though as they are no good for big bums lol.,,

I had the table from ikea too it was abserloutly brilliant, but a bit wide for my arms (lol theres a arm length thread floating about...well this is how it came about)

So I needed something narrow,
Its been fab so far xxxx
here it is x

Do you have a Costco nearby? This is where I got what is called an everyday table for £24 a couple of years ago, but I think they are about £18 now. The legs fold up so I used it for my portable business when I started out. It's a good height and size and still looks as good as new. Good luck!

Well i got my table from Ikea, it's a peanut shape, you can choose diffrent colours and diffrent colour and styles of legs to go on it, they also do trolleys which fit underneath and they look fab hope this helps.

I have this exact same desk!

I, as yet, have not got the backing bit of wood & blocked the back of the drawers up(client side), but over the past 18 months, not one of them has said anything about it!!

I'd also recommend getting some glass cut to go over the top as I have made a few acetone mistakes & need a new desk!
Any local glass merchant can cut some safety glass to suit cheaply. You can then put pictures & your price list underneath it!
