Hello!

I was just wondering what everyone’s options is on capping the free edge of an acrylic nail extension? I’ve seen that some do and some don’t. I’ve noticed that when I cap my acrylics they can sometimes loose the crisp shape. I just worry that if I don’t cap the free edge that the gel will chip or is this usually just the case with gel on the natural nail?
Thanks 😊 xx

I don't cap as such but I do go a millimetre or so longer than the natural free edge, the acrylic is harder wearing so it protects the natural nail. You need to make sure you press the acrylic all the way down the nail to get good adhesion at the free edge too or you'll get separation.
