Typical and no email either I saw .. maybe have to drop them a line if no one else knows ... good luck. Is it so important to change it??? I'm sure there will be a cost involved and no one looks anyway normally :)

I have not got insurance yet and do not know if this will affect the policy, although I can ofcourse produce my marriage certificate but thought it would be tidier this way!!!

You could....... Scan it in to your PC. White out your last name (in photoshop) Print it. hang it up BUT keep the other in your desk since it is the real deal. Not sure if that is OK or not. lol

I had the same thing when I got married. I rang my awarding body (in my case it was CIBTAC). They told me that it would not be a problem as my maiden name was my 'official' name when I qualified and so the certificate would not need to be changed. I've never had a problem getting insurance.

I was wondering about this as my certs have my maiden name on :)

I too am looking for a reissue of an old certificate from 1993. The IHBC became the Vocational Training Charitable Trust, who you can contact and they have a database of people since 1996 and paper records for earlier 75-96.

I work for an exam awarding body (not beauty related) and we don't allow it. Your certificate is issued in your legal name at the time you sat it, in accordance with any ID shown. I believe that is Ofqual's regulation.

It depends on the awarding body and their regulations governing awards.

It's not simply a matter of swapping the name over as you need an administrative mechanism to enable the change to be approved and documented satisfactorily.
