Hi I need some help please. I had a client today and she had pink and white l+p with pink flowers incased in the pink and she decided that she would like to change the. I filed all the product off and them re-did her nails, can anyone tell me if this is how it would of been done in a salon and how long a total re-change takes?

If there are flowers encased in the pink or the decoration sits near the natural nail under the pink i would say that you have no option to remove the product to get rid of all the decoration. if that means having to remove half of the thickness of the pink to get to the decoration or remove everything, so be it. as you probably now it is easier to soak the l&p off incase you need to remove a lot of product instead of filing it down by hand. espacially when the decoration sits close to the natural nail so you dont damage it by filing.
Charge her in this case for a soak of and a new set. the time really varies from person to person. all together it would take me about 2 hours i guess.

Hi

Many of my clients have coloured acrylics with nail art in them...from dried flowers to fimo to fabric shapes. I file by hand and remove the coloured acrylic (which is usually only french style), and then apply the new colour and whatever nail art they have picked.
the quicker you become, also depending on the acrylic system you use....some are not easy to file down....and some are great.

Hope you find this helpful...

Thanks. can I ask how long it should take to soak the product off and I have heard people say you shoul half file the product off and soak the rest off as this will reduce the time it takes to remove the product?
