Hi how many people charge for removal of nail extensions? Some salons in my area do others don't.If you do what do you charge?
Thanks.

If they get a manicure afterwards, I don't charge for the soak off. If it's soak off only, I charge the price of a manicure. HTH! :)

If they are new clients and having a new set afterwards, I charge £5.

If they are not my client and just wanting a soak off, I charge £10.

For a soak off and a manicure, £20.

I charge £10 to do a soak off even if they are having a full set afterwards, reason being it is still taking up my time to do the soak off as well as acetone etc.

I have to say i didn't used to, but i do now because if i am with the client having a soak off, i can't be with another client. Your time is money Hun.

I charge £20 for a soak-off which includes a mini-manicure and returns the nails to a natural condition and includes a polish.

If one of my clients wants a soak off and new set I charge £10. But if they book the soak off on one day and a new set on another day they don't get the reduction . . . as talented talons just said, time is money.

If you work in a salon and can just leave the client soaking while you do something else then I guess the situation is different.

I charge £15, its taking up my time and I tidy the nails up afterwards:)

Defenitly charge, I always do since it takes up my time and i want to get payed for that. The price is probably not of much help since i live in sweden and rates are a bit different here.

I have a regular client coming in for a soak off next week as she is going on a caving holiday. I will charge her £15 to soak off followed by a manicure. She's then coming back after her holiday to get a new set put back on!

Hi

I charge £10.00 for soak off which includes a mini manicure for those who do not wish to have another nail treatment and £5.00 for those that do.

Sue

When clients choose to have a new set afterwards I charge £9,90 for a soak off. If they choose not to I charge £ 17,50 (incl. a mini manicure).

why would anyone not charge for this...its a service..it takes our time and it uses products.

£12 - with a mini manicure after, i used to charge 18 but didn't get many in for it since i lowered the price i get people booking for it rather then just picking them off xx

Can I ask how long it is taking you on average to soak a set off, please? There was a thread yesterday discussing this and it seems to be taking quite a few people quite a lot of time.

If I'm doing a soak off and new full set, which is very rare, then I charge £5 for the soak off in addition to the new full set....£15 for soak off and mini mani.

A fair few salons round these here parts don't charge for a soak of prior to a new set because they don't know how to rebalance effectively and the nails get so thick, the only option they have is to soak off and new set......having said that they still charge full price for the new set!

I always charge for enhancement removals because I always do a mini manicure right after.

Hi Deena, a soak off takes me about 20 mins usually. I use four hand size glass stacking bowls. Half fill the bottom two with boiling water and place the other two over the top with enough acetone in each to cover the nails. I leave them to soak for 10mins then gently scrape the acrylic off each nail removing the fingers one by one out of the acetone.

I charge £10 for removal and mini manicure, but £5 if the client is having a new set straight away.

Hi Geena, it takes me about an hour and a half.

 ! how are you doing it ? try it my way !

Is that exceptionally long?
I use the tin foil wrapping-way. I'm afraid using acetone in a bowl will create more smell?

yeah 1.5 hrs to soak off is a long time !! The smell of the acetone doesn't bother me, its not too bad, so long as your not right over it inhaling ! try it my way hun you wont go back to foil again ! Time is money honey !
