Hello all, I'm new to the site! Been reading all the comments on here for a while and have a few questions of my own! I have my own business and fancy offering the chocolate pedicure to my customers. I love the idea's and recipies using cocoa powder and dried milk but are these safe to use on my customers - for example is there any risks of allergic reaction or adverse reactions? Also, I cannot for the life of me find a chocolate pedi mask but I have found a chocolate facial mask which i have tried and find it to be very nice smelling and lovely on my skin - Isit okay to use on customers do you think?

Sorry for the many questions - I'm a new business owner and I am completely nervous and cautious in everything I do within the salon. I do have 6 years experience in the trade but its hard working for yourself in the sense that everything is on my own back if it goes wrong!!

What do you think folks xx

If when you list it you pop 'contains xxx, xxx and xxx' with the description then hopefully anyone with an allergy to xxx wont book for it.

Also you have to fill out a customer record card anyways, ask them then if they have allergys to any of the products ie.. cocoa or milk and note it down, if they ever try to book for one you can see that they shouldnt have one.

Cant see why it should stop you doing it as long as the systems are in place to avoid an incident.

Imo.

Use babys soy milk or a soya/coconut milk to rinse feet. You can then apply real chocolate mixed with a little oil or water heated in a wax heater (just check temp before applying). Apply olive oil or sweet almond oil to the whole foot and cover with gauze. Apply choc mask cover in cling film and leave wrapped in towels of heated booties.

Remove again with coconut/soya milk. Apply a little cocoa powder into regular massage cream/moisturiser to leave a lasting choc scent.

Give client hot choc and choccies throughout! Burn choccy flavoured candles and hey presto ~ choc pedi!
