Christian Louboutin manicure

Today i got into a discussion with one of my clients. Firstly we began by talking about the gorgeous Christian Louboutin shoes and their red sole. which sparked something off in my mind! I remembered reading in a mag of the 'Christian Louboutin Manicure' ... this is it louboutin.jpg (image) I really love this and am thinking of attempting to have a go at it myself. Was wondering if any other geeks had read about this? and have you applied any kind of art to the underside of the free edge before?

I use Jessica for natural nail care and polishes etc. They train you to paint the underside of the nail anyway. Just tidy up with a cotton wool covered orange stick afterwards. It's easy once you've done it a couple of times.
The Louboutin shoes and manicure look gorgeous don't they, I'd be too afraid to walk on the shoes though (unless it was up and down hubbies back:lol

Well my client was explaining how she got a pair of black shoes with a red sole from dolcis for about £30 and several people stopped her asking if they were louboutins! She told them no, I told her she should of said yes! Now everyone will be heading to dolcis!

OMG "Christian Louboutin" are my fava shoes I have one pair and one pair of Joeseph Azagury (sorry spelling not good)

Personally I have never heard if this as a specfic mianicure. Techs have been designing the underside for years. This is the first time i have heard of this but i teach my students they can design the underside one way and the top another.

One of my students did pac-man eating his dots on the under and a solid color on top so you could only see the design from the bottom

Hi, Zoe Pocock did this wonderful manicure which was shown in Grazia and then she did a step by step if I remember correctly in scratch.

I may be mistaken but I believe she painted the underneath of white tips before applying as a full set, she specifically used white tips otherwise when you put the black on top it darkens the colour of the red underneath. Mike Pocock also did a thread on how it was achived. Try doing a search on here I am sure it will throw something up.

Zoe was in my team at Charles Worthington when she did this fab manicure. We offered it in the salon and there was almost a waiting list.

David (Jaydee on here and in my team) now does this with l&p and it is amazing!

I bought the Oh deer! black shoes will red soles from tk maxx for 19.99 which is a steal and they are identical to LOUBOUTIN peep toes too, so no-one would know the difference, they are truly gorgeous!!
As for manicure louboutin how much would you charge for this service?? As i'd love to offer it once i'd practised loads.

I had a quick try of this today....picture not so great as usual!

I sculpted the tip out using Ruby (Ezflow Earthstones), covered the whole nail with Voodoo (EZFlow Carnival) and the built shape with clear.....needs a bit of perfecting, the black is really difficult to work with on a large surface!
