Hi

I know some people wil say its a bit early, but thinking about christmas offers. I was just wondering if any one had any ideas for keeping the clients coming through the door in the quiter months of January and Febuary.
My only thought was to do some sort of voucher that they could use in January or Febuary.
E.G if they spend a certain amount they get a voucher which entitles them to money off ( if they come in in december and spend over 20Pounds they get a 10 pounds off voucher to use in the new year on any tretment over 30 pounds)
My other question is would you let them use it more than once?

( I love christmas and have done most of my shopping)

Thanks
Kirsty

last year i gave a voucher in my christmas cards. the hairdresser i worked for gave discount vouchers for cut and colours. she sent them to all of the regular clients. but not the one off walk-in ppl. i would think a controlled spend voucher would ensure you still make profits.
this isnt much advise but hth. i havnt even thought about my shopping yet!

Last year just befor Christmas I had an open evening and any client that made an appointment that evening for December received a 10% discount voucher they could redeem in January.
It worked well and kept the togs ticking during what could have been a very quiet month.

i had a lot of products sold last christmas so every product sold as a present was wraped up with a 20% voucher in side to us in jan! x

Last Christmas I sent all my regulars a Christmas card with a voucher for £5 off treatemtns during January and February, but it had a minimum spend of £10.

I will do the same again thi year although thi time I might increase the minimum spend to £20.

When I had my salon I did a 'Beauty Bucks' Voucher. For every £30 they spent in a period specified they received a £5 voucher off a £10 spend in the next following period i.e Jan-Feb.

So they spend say £90 in December they will receive £15 in beauty bucks vouchers to use in Jan.

They can use the vouchers together, so if she booked a leg wag wax for £15 she could use one voucher and get a fiver off. If she booked a facial at £40, she could use all 3 vouchers and save £15 meaning I still took £25.

I never found jan/feb to be quiet anyway in fact quite the opposite.

Please don't also forget you will get a lot of your gift vouchers being used during this time too, and you have to ensure you get an income during this period. If you give away £10 vouchers, Clients will book treatments under this value or say book a pedi for £15 giving you a whole £5 for your effort. I have seen so many salons fall into this pit fall!

Think carefully about every offer, as it equals a loss for your business and this loss must be calculated!
