hi all

how do you all clean your machines so the dont get product build up or get clogged ect? do you put warm water into were the solution goes n give it a clean that way?

esp when mobile

thanks maz xxx

Hi Maz,
I have the T200 and am mobile.

I work every evening (bar sat + sun) and find that the gun does not have to be cleaned after each client. My gun is fine for 8 clients per evening.

I clean my gun each day b4 going to work, which works for me, but my supplier states that this should only need doing once a week. I wouldnt risk that personally as I wouldnt want anything to effect the outcome of any tan.

So, what works for me is cleaning the gun once a day b4 work and the filter once a week.

Here is how I clean the gun.

1. Strip the gun down completely and soak all components in hot soapy water for 5mins.

2. Rinse and dry all components.

3. Spray all parts with WD40.

4. Rebuild the gun.

5. Fill cup with hot water and spray until cup is empty.

Hope that Helps

I wouldn't use wd40 to clean your gun. Only use water based products. Jen Smith put up a video to show you how to clean and strip your gun. I will see if i can find it and will add a link.

I was told to use wd40 by my trainer, Tantrick. I've never had any problems but each to their own

Good Luck anyway

WD 40 is a water displacer-hence the name!
It evaporates but can leave a film which can become sticky. It can also cause the rings to rot.
Definitely only use water-based products when cleaning your gun.

thank you for your replies xxx

Ye i've been told thing's from them which r wrong. thank god to salongeek i say!

I would do as suggested above and clean daily. Should your gun get clogged I would first try to clean it with really hot water. Should that not work, I have had great success with a gun cleaner I purchased from EnvyTan. I use the gun cleaner daily, and if I run out I use hot water until I get the gun cleaner in.

You shouldnt be cleaning you're gun with Hot water only cold, as the hot water can cause damage to the plastic seals mainly amoung other things. Hope this helps

I think I might be having a blondo moment, but when I clicked on the link to watch the video tutorial, I couldnt get it??? x
