Clear shapes through colored nail

hey i was looking though pictures and found a nail with a heart shape (clear) right on a black tip..can anyone please please let me know how this is done. thanx!

They might be the pro impression advance tips. They have hearts in the well....i came across them earlier. Untitled Document

You might mean 'twistoffrench' on the BT forums. She did black tips with a see through heart shape that covered nearly the whole free edge. Do a search on BT under here name.

I've done this (inspired by Layla's photo as well) and you would start by sculpting a heart shape out of clear powder, once that has set you sculpt your tip around the heart and slightly covering it, then when your nails is set you file zone 1 into shape and the clear heart shows through the coloured tip.

A word of advice though, as a newly trained Tech you may be better off mastering the basics first before you start trying things like this....... There are some amazing pics in the gallery and it's great to use them for inspiration.
