clear tips

i just wanted to ask .... when you use the clear tips, are they used solely for clients who want to have polish on their nails all the time, or can they be left clear, and perhaps have a design airbrushed or painted on them ?

The reason im asking is , don't you see the natural nail's free edge thru the tip, or do you file all the free edge away before applying the tips?

The clear tip that I use does not need any blending, the part that goes onto the nail is in the shape of a C so it gives a natural "invisable simle line" I like to use CND Clear over th Tip and CND perferct Pink over the nail plate and then airbrush over the whole nail or just CND Clear over the Tip and CND mosaic over the nail plate (silver glitter one) great effect.
