hi geeks this is a tricky one my mother in law ive been doing nails on her for 5 years (silk extensions) and last year she compleatly swollen up this included her eyes lips and her nails blew up the cuticles cracked and under neath the nail cracked up to it was like a blister effect.. so i tried acrylic sculptured and they did the same we thought she was allergic to the resin but clearly not..she has really short nails and im stuck now.. i get married in 9 weeks to her son so she would like nice nails on for then.. anyone got any advice x x x x x

silk'/resin systems are very low down on the sensitivity scale, if she is alergic to this system, then its highly likely she will be allergic to others too.
dont forget that all nail extension products come within the chemical family acrylates. however it may be one of the minor chemicals contained within nail products that she is sensitive to, so there is a chance that something may suit. id suggest she tries just one nail in a different product to see what happens.

we did that and it was just a slight reaction but she still reacted.. ive tried bloody everything.. x x

thats a shame, start now on regular manicures and hope they'll be polish worthy on the day ?
