Hi I had a client who had silver flash today. I found it hard to do it without any creases but when I finnished it looked fine you could see creases at the edge if you looked close. Anyway she rang me a few hours later saying they were coming off :o I have offered to redo them for her:( I am wondering if she just doesnt like them because of the little creases as I have done about 7 lots of toes which are all still ok. I suppose it is the right thing to do to redo them for her for nothing but what happens if she is one of those clients who just wants a freebie:sad: she also said she had only worn her flip flops. Any ideas or tips please???? I preped with cuticle away then scrubfresh and filed the minx at free edge.

Hi Wishes -
There should be NO creases in Minx - make sure you ASK your customers if they are HAPPY with what you have done before they leave.

Are you putting your Minx back under the heat the whole time you are using it? Are you PEP-ing - removing all non-living tissue (CuticleAway) and PEPinf with ScrubFresh?

All these great PEP tips make Minx last and toes.... Minx can be on toes forever!!

Thanks I did all the prep but maybe the minx wasnt warm enough, I just couldnt seem to get it with no creases, could it be cos it wasnt warm enough?

If you have the infrared lamp - it should be on and over the MINX all the time keeping is absolutely overly warm. Remember the heat is the power tool behind Minx - if you are not using the correct tools you will experience problems.

We don't sell lamps because we want to believe me - we are not a lamp / lighting company - we are a nail company, but if it is required you must use it.

Hope this helps!

Geeg has got an application video tutorial she has sent some geeks if you pm her.
I've found I've got creasing with some toes when they are particularly curved downwards at the free edge- the more curved the nail the harder i find it. Though I dont always yet get it perfect I have found that as Samantha has said, making sure its hot enough makes a huge difference. Also, in the minx lovers social group someone has said that if you place it on the nail then smooth down the centre first, then across from the middle to each side and then out from the centre to the corners it helps, as opposed to smoothing just from top to bottom. I've found doing it that way has made a big difference for me too and most of the time I dont get creasing now.
Keep going, practice makes perfect.

I had silver minx put on my toes yesterday by a mobile therapist. The edges where it meets my skin are wrinkly and one of them doesnt appear to be stuck down propperly.. Can I fix this by reheating them with a hairdryer? Would this still have happened if she had used the infa-red lamp? (she used a hairdryer..) She also did not de-grease the nails with anything, would this have caused this to happen?

Thanks

any of those things could cause that to happen. She is not using the correct tools of the trade. At this point you couldn't heat them up again - if you pull off now to get rid of creases, it will come off and won't stick back down.

So frustrating to hear stories like this - crikey you only have to do 2/3 sets of Minx to make the cost of your lamp back!!!:(

HI I do have an infre red lamp so I must warm the minx before while it is on the sheet too and then keep heat over area until i have finnished do I have to keep the heat on to file the edges?

Have you do any education with Minx Wishes? Why don't you come and do a couple of hours? The Minx needs to be under the lamp, the foot can be on your lap when filing. HTH's!
