Client wants to go from blonde to black

Hi, my client at the moment has full head bleach highlights and colour touch 4/57 inbetween. She wants to now go black all over with a blonde chunk at the front. She wanted black before but I talked her out of it as I know she'll want to go blonde again at some point, but now she's adamant. So ok not a prob I will do it.

I just wanted to run it past you guys....what I'm thinking is using a colour touch in 4 something (haven't got shade chart to hand - 4/7 if they do that?) then go over it with the 2/0. The blonde at the front I'll section off and then bleach the roots while the black is on. She hasn't got an appointment until the end of September so plenty of time to do a strand test. her hair isn't really in the best conditon so I am going to make it clear to her that I will not highlight it again while she has the black as her hair won't take it.
What do you think, anything you'd do differently?

As long as you pre-pig it should cover okay. However, I would probably do the blonde first, cover it in barrier cream after it's processed and then do the black. Longwinded I know, but black and blonde combo can be a nightmare and it saves a potential bleach bath to get the black run from the blonde after! Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your reply. You're completely right about the doing the blonde first, why didn't I think of that lol. Anyway, I've spoken to her and she's now decided to try v dark brown first rather than black. But yes I will do the blonde first, ta!

i would suggest very dark brown too, it's much more flattering..... doin a 3 instead of a 2,
you can always go darker but not lighter!

Hey I would say you could even use a 4 because it is much more flattering and all my clients who have it refer to it as "the black" lol. Dont think clients understand how unflattering black can be!!!! It should be fine I have done it before and the other way round lol!!!!xxxx

Thanks, she has a 4 at the moment, but with highlights too. so I'm going to put a squidge (very technical term lol) of 3 in too, she's quite adamant about the black so will probably ask for it next time! I'll update when I do it (29th September)

You could try using matrix coloursync, you don't have to pre-pig with them.
