I dont know if I am the only one, but I am fed up with clients booking for expensive or several treatments, and then when they arrive, saying, oh, dont want that now, or have'nt enough money (or one this week ringing a hour before app to say that she couldnt pay for a treatment for a couple of weeks, would that be ok) Is it just me, or is anyone elese having these problems.

Story of my life hun

Not very often i get this now..I get the old..."skint this week" but then go on to tell me how they have booked a weekend away...

Really if people cant afford to have stuff done then they shouldn't be having it...its a luxury and not a necessity.

We would all LIKE to have things we cannot afford.

Just say "sorry to hear that Mrs Smith, I totally understand (offer a cheaper alternative if you have one) give me a call when things are better for you."

Didnt do the treatment for the one who rang, just suggested that she re-book when shes got some money. Was rather annoyed as she is/was a friend and felt she was trying to take advantage. She spent the afternoon previously telling me how much she was spending on clothes etc. I also have to make a living!!!! It just made me mad.

Just to ad insult to injury, my app for thiseveing has just phoned (30 mins before app) to let me know she cant come as her baby sitter has let her down. She says shel ring again in morning to re-book !!!!

How about introducing a deposit for all of your more expensive treatments or above a certain amount?

I'd like to think it would encourage customer loyalty and make people think 'well I've paid some, now I've got to go through with it'. A good way of splitting the cost too for the customer so they don't feel like they've paid a whopping big amount straight away.

I'm going to be in my new salon soon and introduce this. Possibly anything over £60 in total? I'm not sure yet. Whatever works for you.

HTHs xxx
