Im a bit confused, i am new to this so i am in the test period of doing this treatment. I did a weeks offer of £25 with a lash tint - total bargin! I did a fair few treatments in this time and there was 1 girl who i stuck 5 lashes in after a week of her having them. But today i got a call off a girl who has only had them in 5 days and said she lots a fair few, so i asked about how shes been treating them and of course she said fine, no make up, creams etc etc.

Bit unsure of what to do. I saw her 2 days after and they looked fab. So why have so many fallen out with her & not other clients?

Are those lashes naturally all shedding at once??

Do i give her a free top up?

Do i give her the top up half price?

Should i be giving a 48 hour or a week guarantee? ( i a 24 hour guarantee with my nail extensions)

Shes coming in tommorow for me to assess them

Hi
Is this the only client this has happened to since you started lashing? I am asking because if it is and you have not changed anything in your routine then I think it might be something the client has done. Unfortunately she will never admit not following the aftercare so its a tough one. Have you seen her to assess the lashes?

About a year ago something similar happened to me and the client swore blind she had looked after them so I did the right thing and put a new set on only for her to tell me a few months later that they all fell out because she used a heated lash curler on them and they all fell out :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted: so I am very weary now. I have been lashing a long time and apart from that time I have never had a clients lashes just fall out after a few days even a week. In my experience lashes don't just fall out. hth

Yes I agree with leemac, in my experience too lashes do not just fall out. Especially just if few days. Even if client did a set 3 weeks ago - they still would not just start falling out all at once. Always when I see a client and she reports that eyelashes been falling out more often than usual - I ask her about after care in detail. I ask every single question; have you used any oily products? make-up remover? eye drops? mascara? have you used curlers on them? etc. Because if I simply ask: did you follow after care? They say yes, but when you begin to ask in detail, they begin to think closely to what they did. Since most of my clients return for infill every 4 weeks - I would not offer free infill if they have lost them sooner, because I'm sure I did everything perfectly as other clients returning after much longer...
Also, did you make the eyelashes really full? Because if they were not really full, any loss is very noticeable. Did you prepare lashes properly? e.g still cleanse them even if they look clean.

I hope this helps and good luck

yeah the only client. I always give aftercare, although, i didnt hand a sheet, which i have now printed out and hope i have everything on it i need, then i will feel even more confident that its not my fault they fell out. When i just say the aftercare, i guess i cant remember if i missed anything out and she has nothingto refer to. So for that reason and the fact im new at it, i think i may do a refill for free and go over aftercare in real depth and say "the next refill will be 2 weeks if any fall out i cant keep on doing it free for you as my other clients have no problems, it could just be your lashes or something you are unintentionally doing that may shorten the life of some of them" does that sound ok?

She said a few fell out 2 days after and a few on the fourth day. I did the same prep as i did on my other clients, i tinted first. I think even the experts may occasionally (very occasionally im sure) leave a tiny trace of something like tint or vasaline and this cause them to fall out. hmm.... its a tricky one. Ill take a look tomorrow. Its the tell tail signs that im not aware of as im new to this. I doubt she will havethe lashes to show me but i should be able to tell if its her or me if there are lashes there or baldness. Im using marvel lash, i know its not at the top end of the range, but, with my other 6 customers so far ive had no complaints and am happy with this product at the moment.

thanks guys. x
