Hi geeks,
was after your opinions on a programe i watched the other night. There was a lady saying that cling film is good to wrap over the toes after a pedicure as it stops the nails smudging?
I cant see how this would work as surely it would just get stuck?

Has anyone tried this or heard of it?
xxx

i believe that you first put cuticle oil on the nails so that the cling film doesnt stick.

Oh interesting i will give it a go.Maybe ok for us to do on ourselves but would you trust it on a client.Mmm maybe good if they r in a rush? xxx

good if they forgot to bring flip flops i guess.
i personally havent tried it but have read on beautytech that the us techs use the technique with success.

I always apply cuticle oil after top coat and have never then needed anything else to stop smudging. Thin coats of polish, then oil and thats all you should need.

I've used cuticle oil and cling film many a time on clients who are in a rush and are wearing socks and boots or court shoes. It does work!

I had this done for the first time in New York about 6 years ago,i was amazed it really does work,i have been doin this myself for my clients ever since but don'tforget to put the oil on first.

Was it the programme about fingernail models? if so I watched that also. The link Lyndsay has put up for you is really interesting and Urban Geek (Christine) even did an experiment to see how it would go;) x
