Hi lash geeks,
I do semi perm lash extensions and have had several enquirys for lashes for an evening out or something that they don't want to get the semi perm ones. Does anyone know of any companies that do them? I believe they last a couple of days? Would you just put say 10 on each eye? How long would you spend applying them and how much would you charge? Sorry about all the questions......

I charge £7 for strip lashes, £10 for cluster (individual) lashes. It takes about 20 ish mins for individual lashes. I'd put ten, maybe more on, it depends on the size of the eyes! Pick the length just slightly longer than the natural lash to make the look full, and if your client wants a kick at the edges, that flicky cats eye look, the you want a few longer ones at the outer corners. Just remember to 'bounce' these outer ones up when drying, so they don't drag the look of the eye down. A bit similar to bouncing sp lashes up when drying?

I use ardell for both strip and individual. They are fantastic quality, and come out of the packet easily! I was recommended by a fellow geek to stock the 109, the 110, and the 120. She was right, they are the perfect selection. Ardell do 2 types of glue, one for strip, one for individual, so watch out for that if you do buy them.

You can get them in boots to try them. You can find them online in some of the beauty wholesaler sites. If you are going to be using a lot, (I do now!) I recommend getting them from the US. Madame Madelline sells every lash you can think of. She sells ardell pro starter kits. Delivery is reasonable, and quick too. hth x x

thanks for that. I've just put the order with Madame Madelline for the Adell cluster lashes, ordered the starter kit, and extra glue and a couple of xtra boxes. I assume that they just fall out over a couple of days, is that the case or are they supposed to come back within a certain time frame?

Yep, they just fall out, or help them along with an eye make up remover and a cotton pad to gently dissolve the glue.

How long they last depends on the glue, the application, the clients skin (oily, dry etc) and whether they rub their eyes or pick at them. I only advertise them as party lashes, and explain that they should only last the occasion, a day or so. Most times they last longer, but I wouldn't ever tell the clients that, as there is no guarantee.

Have a really good read of the tut that Bev linked to for you, print it off if you need to, it has some great pics and some straightforward instructions.

Good luck with your lashes and have fun! x x

I usually keep my lashes in for a week or two,it definately depends on client aftercare.I used to suffer with terribly itchy eyes from my hayfever and rub them all the time,so they wouldn't last as long.I did the set I have on now on thursday and they are all still intact, bar one that I rubbed off when half asleep:(

Mine are from Sally's and are Salon systems. The glue is the same.Application is easy and takes about ten mins or so.As already mentioned how many you use depends on the clients own eyelashes.I use midi to thicken and medium on the ends.

I love them but not keen on doing my own as always find I struggle being as I cant keep my left eye shut whilst right eye is open(I am weird like that lol)

Thanks guys. I printed off that tutorial, great stuff. Would you put tape or pads over the lower lashes to stop any stickies, or do you just keep opening their eyes?

I never do, never have, I suppose you could as with sp lashes til you get confident. Just keep checking for stickies either way x

I recommend that the client removes with baby oil when they have had enough, this always works but I do offer to go back and soak them off with remover if they have trouble! I was taught to go just past halfway with medium size then finish with short. HTH

My favourites are salon system bulb free lashes, look so natural, and they lie lovely on the natural lash. Best so far.
