CND Colour & Effects question

going to sound stupid here but do the effects work over regular poslih?
just starting out in manis again, cant afford wide range of polishes so
thought i could buy the effects to start off with, then add a few cnd colours as and when i place an order x
also, which tends to be the most popular effects and colours ?

They do work over 'other' polishes but don't last as well. They are designed to work as a system.

My advise would be to invest in one of the collections, you receive 3 Colours and 3 Effects in each set, great for starting out and not too big an investment.

The other thing with using CND C&E together is you can purchase a colour wheel which shows your clients the exact effect they will get
