I have just finished a conversion with CND using L & P

In my starter pack I got 2 tubes of Gelbond, which however thoroughly I clean the nozzle, it's all blocked up the next time I need to use it.

Any advice please to allow me to be able to finish the tube LOL x

You can always try putting a needle down the nozzle....1st to unblock the one you have and 2nd to keep it clear for next time.

I've done that but it's too blocked. I think I have lost the first two tubes, so how can I prevent this happening again?

I have only ever used Gelbond and can honestly say I have only had this happen once...and it was my own fault, i didn't replace the lid properly...but i stuck a pin down the nozzle and it was fine after that.

I just use what i want...wipe the end of the nozzle and replace the lid.

I store mine with a pin down the nozzle and it never clogs or blocks.....

I love Gelbond the product but I absolutely hate those tubes it comes in, I have gotten countless tubes blocked in the past even using the pin trick. Sometimes I've burst the tubes trying to sqeeze or occasionally I've snipped the tube to try and release some product :irked: - its sooo annoying. So much so in fact I've stopped using Gelbond:cry:. Tis a shame because its a great product.

This has just happened to me, I opened a brand new tube one day and the next I couldn't use it it the lid was on prop & a pin wud only allow it to come out for a second then the product dried again really fast, it looked really bad in front of my client & I ended up having to take a corner off.
I bought the 9g tube yest and am hoping the same doesn't happen there.

How come some of us can get to grips with a tube of adhesive and others can't? It doesn't seem such a difficult task to me.

I never use a pin and I never clog a tube so why do others?

THE TRICKS

Never squeeze from the bottom of the tube until the tube is half used up (it is not like toothpaste where we WANT the toothpaste to be ready to burst forth when we use it !!). Squeezing gently from the middle and watching the adhesive in the nozzle so you don't over do the amount coming out of the nozzle and letting go the pressure when you see the right amount will control the flow perfectly. Just like any other adhesive bottle.

Spreading the adhesive with the SIDE of the nozzle and not the END of the nozzle keeps the nozzle from clogging.

A quick wipe of the end of the nozzle with a dry tissue and then screwing the cap on very firmly will prevent any clogging.

Do you know, I feel ridiculous telling grown women how to squeeze adhesive successfully from a tube .... I would have thought that anyone could work it out for themselves frankly. I apologize if that statement is offensive to anyone but honestly.

By the way, if you can't squeeze a tube of adhesive without clogging it up, IMO the small tubes are much more likely to last you from beginning to end than the larger 9gm tube which if you do clog it up will be a big waste instead of just a little waste.
