I need some help and advice with lifting. I use CND but after two days the nails start lifting around the edge. i use scrub fresh and the cnd nail dehydrator. the only thing i can think i may be doing wrong is going too close to the skin. But i used a sample of ezflow high definition and got no lifting at all!!!

Hi Cute-icles,

Have you had training with CND, or can you tell us what training you have had to date. Knowing this will make us understand exactly where you are in your nail career atm.

Infact, could you help by filling in your profile details regarding training, systems used etc, otherwise you'll get asked this question everytime you post anything & thatway, everyone can then see where you are coming from:)

I will fill in my profile. I trained NVQ Level 2 using salon systems which was awful stuff. I really just do friends at the moment because i really need lots of practise before i branch out further. I like CND and use retention.

Hi there, :) How are you removing the cuticle from the plate?

Hun you should not be using products you are not trained in it doesn't matter how much practice you do you will never perfect your nails as you don't know how the products work ie; mixed raito etc

Where do you get your CND products from?

We were told at college not to remove any cuticle from the plate, they told us this should be done in a manicure four days before. I use the cnd nail dehydrator followed by scrub fresh.

I get my cnd products from ellisons and sweet squared as they gave me an account when i sent in a copy of my Level 2 nail tech certificate.

What I would suggest you do is take a look at the tutorials done by Geeg on all the aspects of prep and application this will help you a lot.

I know this is what you were taught in college, but there really is no need for cuticle to be removed four days before enhancements are applied.

I'm sure most clients wouldn't want to have their nails done twice in one week and have to pay extra for a manicure too.
