Hi, I’m a nail technician and have a nvq level 3 in Nail Services. I really want to branch out into the beauty industry particularly facials. I see lots of ‘accredited’ courses stating fully insurable after completion, these are 1 or 2 day courses in various facials/microdermabrasion/micro needling etc but i can’t find anything to state legally if I would be able to go straight into this without having done a more intense course first ie. NVQ?
Can anyone advice what route they would recommend I take? I’ve been looking at NVQ level 2 would this be ok? Then top up with extra day courses in specific areas? I don’t want to pay out lots of money and find out I can’t practice or get adequate insurance. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you
