Colour advice needed please

Hi, advice is much appreciated please.

I have just returned in doing ladies hair after taking a long brake and headed into the barbering world. As much as I am loving my return I am massively struggling with some aspects of colour as so much has changed.

I have a client who usually has copper and brown lowlights (she doesn't know what was previously used) and is wanting to go to a rose gold colour (can upload photos) I currently use Wella Koleston Perfect if that helps.
Here is what here hair is like now in the first pic and the second is what she wants to acheive.

Again really would appreciate any feedback

My initial thoughts were to prelighten the mid legths and ends. Then apply 5/37 + 6/41 with 6% on the root area taking it down to the prelightened parts, then toning the pre lightened hair with 10/0 (10ml) + 0/65 (10ml) + 0/45 (10ml) + 3% (60ml)

Really worried I am barking up the wrong tree though
