Would you do a root stretch first and tone the orange out before and then do balayage.

I know thinking yes because when balayage it doesn't saturate alway through.

Doing tomorrow can you please advise what you would do.

By the way this is not my work, I'm correcting someone's attempt X.

100% Do your root stretch and correct the base before balayage. If you need to add more lowlights after you can do at the same time as lightening afterwards.
