My daughter is currently studying hairdressing and wants some advice on colours. She is doing a friends hair, her hair is currently dyed very dark brown, her roots are coming through which are very light brown. she wants caramel highlights, can anyone advise on what colours are best to use??

You won't achieve a caramel colour on such dark tinted hair with hair colour. It needs to be lightened first.
