Hi, I have a client with a base 7 and 50% grey and currently use wella 12.1 and 12%,0 she has lots of warmth naturally and it keeps going yellow, she wants to tone it down and I was thinking of using 9.1 and 6%, any ideas if it will go greenish?

9/1 wont tone anything as /1 is a grey neutral. If you need to neutralise yellow, you need to use a violet tone, either /6 or /9.

Can I ask why you would use 6% to tone?
You need to distinguish what base level the hair is lifted to, then select your toner (violet based) to match the base, not the desired result. If you've lifted to a 9 you can't use 10/96 to tone.
