Hellooo :)

*First post here - I'm just a lurker, lol*

I started NVQ Level3 Hair at college on the 17th,
and last Wednesday we got our first clients of the year !

Mine happened to be a colour correction.
I'd say she was a Base of 8, and she had 6.66 & 7.6 on her hair since Jan this year.
I used 2 applications of Affinage Eraser (we only have Affinage products at college this year) . The first application hardly changed a thing, but with the 2nd application, there was quite a difference.

Her hair's lightened to something like a 7.4 now, I'd say (I have no
colour chart to hand, so I'm trying to remember ).
I only had time to do 2 app's of Eraser, but she's back again on Wednesday for more Eraser.

I took 2 test cuttings, and put 10.2 on one, and 10.117 on the other.
Neither look particularly different .

Is there anything else that anyone can suggest I could do?
I'll be doing at least 2-3 more applications of Eraser on Wed (time permitting) - Is there anything else I could do?

Thanks
:)

That is because you have only taken it to a base of a 7. Putting a 10 on won't make any difference because you are still trying to lift tint.

I would lift the hair to a 10 and then put a toner on to correspond to your target shade. Hope this helps. :)

Oh, I completely forgot about this thread, lol - sorry to bump, (just updating what happened :))

-sophisticutz- - Ahh, that makes sense, that would be why there was no change, doh! -
Anyway, I did 2 more Eraser applications and it lightened a fair bit more.
I ended up putting an ashy(can't remember, it was weeks ago now) tone on it, and it looked a lot better.
She was going to come back for possibly highlights, but she's not been back, so I guess she either loved the colour as it was, or loathed it and came back on a day I weren't there ! LOL:green:

Glad you worked it out in the end. I wouldn't worry about her not coming back. College clients are always very transient :)

lol - The thing is, she's been a loyal College customer for 4-5yrs, lol!!:green:
I'm just wondering though - If she did come back and want
bleach highlights, would it work on hair that has been Eraser'd?

I would be extremely careful and test the hair first. The eraser is a stripper which has the same effect as bleach i.e removing any pigment from the hair; be natural or unnatural.

You wouldn't layer bleach applications with out testing so I would take the same precautions with this :)
