Hello. This is probably a stupid question, but I am new to all this. When you put on coloured acrylics do you need to put a clear coat over the top or do you just file and then top coat. Thanks
 
just file as you would normally. they are coloured all the way through so there wont be any damage. if you are using glitter acrylics though its best to use a thinner layer and top with clear acrylic because certain types will lose their colour when filed on directly.

when you use colour acrylic you may wish to top with clear acrylic just to preserve your supply of the colours though.
 
I always do my design in colour then use my clear to build the apex and make sure the structure is good.

Like angel fingers said saves using up your colours
 
if ou use glitter be careful filing as you can turn the glitter silver. I use a gel top coat and love it.
