When doing a set of sculptured with coloured acrylics in zone 1, what coloured acrylic is best for zone 2 and 3. I done some sculptured using cnd metro metal city and I only used clear for 2 and 3. I was wandering is there other coloures which will compliment diffrent colours iygwim,,, I have lots of diffrent colours, bolds, shimmers, metals, etc was wanting best finish possible.

Also when I used the black acrylic, it was a pain in the bum to see where i was sculpting, and also the dye was everywhere,,,,any tips girls would be appreciated,,, thanks xxxxx:confused::confused:

Hi,

Im not a user of CND so Im not familiar with the colour range, but I do use alot of coloured acrylics! Why dont you try using glitter aswell as your bold colours? When using glitters they add a beutiful affect to the nails. Colour fades are good also with glitter, or just normal colours.

When I use black acrylic, I use a slightly drier bead so that colour doesnt bleed leaving me smudge marks.

I always apply all my zone 1's first, but you especially want to if using a colored acrylic. After you've done all the free edges, go back and swipe the nail bed with nail fresh. It gets rid of any colored bits on the nail plate. Also change your monomer after this (again, I always change my monomer after any color free edge, even white, so your pinks don't get cloudy). I also recommend a different brush for your colored/glitter acrylic than what you use for your pinks or whites.

Katiebbaby, zone 2 and 3 look nice with perfect pink and the opaque pink powders depending on the skin colouring, also you can further custom blend the pink powders so tone with the skin and the colours free edge.

Often bold colours including black are so heavily pigmented. I help overcome the problem of colour bleeding, either work a little drier and slower (so that the product is setting up) and do method zone 1, followed by 2 and 3 or - and IMO an easier method is the reverse application, zone 2 and 3 then do zone 1

Hi, when using colour or glitter powder, I do zone 1 first. Then I use CND perfect pink for zones 2 and 3. I dont really tend to use clear unless im embedding something. Hth xx
