Coloured Tips Gel or Acrylic

Hi,

If you want to give your client coloured tips, are you able to use The Edge soak off coloured gel?

Or does this have to be Acrylic coloured powder only?

PS what colour of tips would you use underneath the colour? White, Clear or Natural.

Hiya, I dont use the soak off gels but I would assume you would have to use a builder layer to give you the strength for an extension. I would use the clear tips as I like to see the colour underneath.. I mainly use acrylic and I sculpt so I dont have the tip issues, but I do like to see the colour or glitter but I guess that would be down to personal preference... hope that helps. Claire x

i would say easiest way to acheive this, is with the many pre coloured tips you can buy now, and then over lay with clear gel...then can still see the coloured tip?
not an expert, but have done an acrylic course and am still practicing techniques, but i would use a pre-designed tip and then do clear acrylic over top, but i do know you can mix up your own glitter acrylic, and am sure you can get glitter gel, so you could use a clear tip then sculpt it on free edge to make smile line with glitter gel, then go on to do the clear over top and on rest of nail........hope this has helped.

I have never seen the coloured TIPS, is there anywhere you would recommend getting them from? Thanks:lol:
