colours in different light

HI everybody, just trying to do some home work and am finding it difficult on: how different lighting would affect certain colours. I do know that fluroscent light will not show reds and yellows.
Please help as it is driving me bonkers:cry:

OPS sorry, I am doing a beauty consultant course. It's more for colour eyeshadow, lips.

It might be an idea for you to have a look at some photography sites and read up on white balance.
Basically light comes in different shades (temperatures) and our eyes try to correct the differences.
I think what you are finding is that when you go home you are probably under normal lightbulbs which are quite a red/orange light compared to day light or fluroscent (which are more blue).
You can get daylight bulbs or lamp which will give you more consistant lighting conditions.

I have looked at some webites, but I am confussed on which coulur eyeshadows you should not wear in the diffeernt lights. e.g can you wear orange in a night club will it show? oh i'm such a duffuss

Think about whether it's best to wear the deeper, darker colours in the day or at night - and why.
Will a colour applied under artificial light still look the same in natural light?

I wouldn't worry too much about individual colours but think about the practical aspects of applying make up in a salon or house and where they are actually going to be wearing the look, ie wedding, evening ball etc. And then decide what you could do to ensure that the chosen products still look good outside of the salon environment.
