Commission Questions

Forgive me if my question seems elementary...

I am contemplating taking a position in a comission based salon for the first time. I'd like to call the owner and get more information but I have no idea what questions I should ask her!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

i work on comission as well... some things to ask would be:

a) am i supplying my own product? *desk, lamp, L&P, gel, etc*
b) am i setting my own hours?
c) am i taking my own appointments?
d) am i handling my own payments?
e) how much of a percentage are you willing to offer me?

..just a few basic questions id start off with. HTH!! x

If you get a set wage and then comission to make up the rest, also ask if you need to hit a target before you actually get any £, and if so, how much and how much treatments are etc, so you can break it down and guestimate if you're likely to hit it each week. Like if you have to hit £1000 a week and you're working 40hrs, then you need to be bringing in over £25 an hr just to make sure you hit the target. x
