Hi one of my staff is off due to a family death is she entitled to compassionate leave being paid when i have searched it i keep reading diff things ? Thanks in advance
There’s no formal requirement so it’s up to you to determine.
Depending on the relationship to the deceased, I recommend you pay her wages for at least a week. You can also consider unpaid leave if she requires more time off to make arrangements.
