Hi all,

Just starting out in this line, not ready to have clients yet. as I only started college in September, qualified to do manicures but was wondering what is the best polish to use thats not going to chip but, has a good coverage and is going to last.

Also using CND at college for the acrylics and have the white, pink and clear in my kit. I used to have acrylics on my self and on the white tip the acrylic had a very delicate glitter in it, I think it was called fairy dust but I can't find it on the internet does anyone know where i can get it from ? also good coloured acrylic powers ?

Is CDN the best to use ?

Also one other question is acrylic harmful to heath as it stinks when i open up my kit and I have seen some nail techs wearing masks ?

I think I am going on a bit now so will just wait for your replys

Thanks in advance

Karen

CND is the leading company for science, technology, products and training in the nail enhancement industry... their polishs I would recommend without any hesitation

CND do a range of coloured powders - including twighlight which is a softer white with a shimmer in it. They have a clear powder with a glitter called 'glimmer' - you should take a look through the website www.cnd.com at the huge range of products they produce

The best product to use is the one you are trained to use... otherwise you won't know how to use it correctly...
Also one other question is acrylic harmful to heath as it stinks when i open up my kit and I have seen some nail techs wearing masks ?
This should have been covered extensively on your training... I would recommend you get a hold of Doug Schoons book, nail anatomy and product chemistry, it will give you a fantastic resourse and a lot of very technical information in plain easy to read language.

The simple answer is nail enhancment products are safe to use - otherwise there just wouldn't be any nail techs BUT...
This is only true if you know the correct and SAFE ways to use them...

Hope that helps a little.
