I want to do a makeup course (not done it on either of my NVQ courses) and am confused as to which one to take? I've seen quite a few - fashion makeup, wedding makeup etc but where do I start?! xx

I would start by speaking to anyone running the courses and see what they suggest. Sometimes the wedding or fashion part of the course is an after course from the basic make up course that introduces you to make up and how to use, apply and highlight etc first.
I would say initially though you get more work from weddings to start as its an easier market to get into. Fashion is then targeted towards photo shoots, proms etc so perhaps take that at a later stage.
