The advice would be that it's definitely adviseable for the client to remove their contact lenses. However, I wore them for over 20 years and used to leave them in for all sorts of treatments (including sunbeds and swimming). If any clients refuse to remove them or don't have their storage case/solutions with them and still want to go ahead, I'd get them to sign some kind of waiver before you begin xx

Well that's my advice, others may advise differently. I know what I would've done had I had a spray tan whilst wearing lenses, and it would not have included their removal!

From a clients point of view (ima contact wearer) I wouldnt remove them!

I can close my eyes whilst you spray or could wear a set of goggles until you got to my face area!

Putting the contacts back in after you had sprayed me would only mean me having to wash my hands and then touch my face therefore getting white hands with brown fingertips!!!

I wear contact leanses and I always keep them in for spray tans, sunbeds, showering, swimming all sorts of things I'm not supposed to (oops) & no harm has come to me yet *touch wood!!!* :)

My advice to contact lens wearers has always been to keep their eyes closed - there is no need for them to take them out to have the tan done.

Hope that helps,
Kate

i inform my clients to bring there storage lense cases and pop them out whilst im tanning and if there dailys bring a spare pair
