I'll be honest, I don't do many manicures. Not many at all. I'm almost completely l&p and Shellac.

But I've a lady in for a mani on Wednesday and she specifically asked if a hand massage is included, which it is, but I can't find my book with contra-indications for hand massage and I was just going to go through them in my mind again.

I've done a search but failed to find the answers on here. the main ones I can remember are

Cancer
Fever
Heart probs
Sensory impairment
diabetes (think this is only whole body massage though?)

and gently does it on osteoporosis/rheumatism

Have I missed anything? Feel really rusty.

Thanks xx

High blood pressure, broken bones, severe artheritis, all i can think of off the top of my head atm, hth xx

Infection could mean you'd have to adapt or avoid massage too.

You're ok doing simple hand and arm massage on cancer patients.
