Copper tones from salon highlights

Hi everyone!!

So glad I found this site!!

I had my hair highlighted two weeks ago, (the colourists did an amazing job the first time and I loved it so much) my instincts after the blow dry were definitely spot on, very coppery and an orangey blonde. I usually have the light blonde colours in, golden blonde, JLO, Gisele or Heidi Klum hair colour.

I was told it would lighten and the toner would wash out after 3/4 washes.

It seems a lot more coppery now, I’ve asked random mums at my school what colour they see and they have all said coppery blonde! I paid £180 for this that makes it even worse. Any advice would be great or do I call and complain? The pictures doesn’t show the copper that well but I hope you can see my concerns. Thank you all so much.

No artificial colour is permanent and toners are very short lived. They need to be re-applied every few washes.
How long a toner lasts depends on your hair type, porosity, washing and care regime.

Do you use hot irons to straighten your hair?

Hello! Thank you for your reply. My hair dries straight and never had to use a straightener. Would you recommend touch of silver?

I prefer the salon brand shampoos and highly recommend Osmo Super Silver no Yellow shampoo.
You can buy it from Sally Beauty stores if your hairdresser doesn’t happen to sell it or anything equivalent.
