i am currently wearing gel enhancements and i like my nails to be square.anyway i am getting really annoyed at how quickly the corners are wearing away.is this normal or have i done something wrong?
is there a quick way of fixing then as it seems such a waste having to use a form all the time?
does anyone else have this problem?
i used to have it with l&p aswell but it didnt happen as quickly and it was also easier to fix.
thanks geeks.x

do you mean while you are doing other peoples nails...? i file the corners of mine on certain fingers due to the way i hold my file when working but if i wasn't working the corners are fine...

If it is while working, the only thing I could suggest would try mabey putting flexiwrap around the nails you are filing the corners off
Dont know if it'll work but worth a go x

I do the same, its the way I hold the file in my right hand and my left thumb!. It is just as easy to sculpt a new corner with gel as with L&P though. You can also get a roll of special tape to cover the nails that are getting rounded off, I forget the name of it you can see it on my video on youtube though.

thanks for your replies.some of them are from filing so i will definately get some tape but i think that some are not as one of them seems to be my ring finger on my right hand so im not sure how i did this one and i dont think i can wear tape on nearly all my fingers:lol:

The ring finger on the right hand wearing away is the way you hold the file, I always wear this edge away too! I am wearing an almond shape at the moment so it is not so noticeable.

So sorry to hijack, but Julie what brush are you using? Is it creatives?

No, it is one I got from the local Capital store. It was a little large for me so I am back with the pro styler again.

ok thanks, it looked a bit flatter than the ultra sculptor, thats why..:)
