Crystal mani/pedi question

Do you guys start at the free edge and work down the nail or vice versa? Reason I ask is i've just had a bash at doing my own and did it the other way but when I got the free edge it looked really messy as I didn't have the right gaps for the size of crystals ifyswim

Probably just need practice.

I mainly start at the cuticle & work my way up.
When I found a gap not big enough for a crystal I just moved the surrounding crystals along (if that makes sense) so it closed up the gap a bit. Hth x:hug:x

can i ask do you glue them on or use shellac or gel. thanks

I have only done one full Swarovski Crystal pedicure as a trial & I shellaced them. x
