Hi Geeks,

I have trained in Acrylic nails however I am not qualified to in custom blending.

I have a couple of clients who have shorter nail beds so I use a clear tip and paint the French, however on very short beds their natural smile line can be visable (when it looks too silly to make the white even higher).

Even though this is only a problem until their next infill when the nails have usually grown enough to be disguised I was wondering if anyone had success using an opaque pink to cover the clients nautural smile line.

If any one can recommend a brand and a colour that may achieve this I would love to know. Please dont say go on a course as this is not currently an option!

Thanks guys

i use nso prodcuts and they have an acrylic powder called pink masque which is used for this and to cover up imperfections on the nail beds.i have used it and its great i just wish they did more shades for different skin tones and that they did some for gel.:green:
there are other brands out there that also do these types of prodcuts.:)

nsi attraction pink masque is good for disguising any marks on the nails xx

i used CND flawless pink, its bit more pink pink, than ususal iykwim, but it certainly hides lines and imperfections hun

hths xx

Creative's Flawless Pink has now been overtaken by their new range of Opaque colours which do an amazing job on all skin tones - Warm Pink, Cool Pink and Neutral Pink. When matched up to correct skin tone they look very natural...and no mixing:)

can you mix flawless with some other shades. i need to use my pot i have its full please advise someone .

he he i found this recipe from geeg.
and i believe there is more .

20 small scoops of Flawless
5 small scoops of perfect colour white

1 small scoop of melting pot

do you use these recipies too?
I've dabbled with custom blending but not on clients :wink2: I've not long passed my L+P training (last month) and have the new neutral and warm opaque powders.

If the current brand that you are using has allready a lot of existing colored powders you can mix up any color you want. Including different shades of skin colored tones.
