Hi

I am having major issues with my cuticle pusher. In my training I was fine with it and didn't scratch the nail plate at all. My friend very kindly let me practice my technique on her last night and I just could not get to grips with the pusher and it was dragging on the nails. I'm not very confident in this now as I will be offering Gelish soon and you have to dry prep the nail for that :-/ can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

What changed between training and now? Are you using the same pusher?

My guess is the pusher is too sharp. You can use one of your nail abrasives to dull it, if that is the problem. HTH! :)

You could always go for a plastic pusher until you have a bit more confidence

I found my metal one was too sharp, so dulled it with a file and now its fine. Try it.

No not using the same pusher as I lost the one that I got with my training kit (silly me!). I'll try dulling it and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks all :)
