Hi All,

I've got a question I do a dry manicure before my nail extensions which invloves pushing cuticles back etc.

I'm just wondering what you guys do as sometimes its' not enough coz some peoples cuticles are awful and need the full works is there a product I can get that doesn't put grease onto the nail what do you all use?

Thanks in advance

Kate xx

You can use cuticle remover prior to applying enhancements just be sure its washed off first.

I use creative cuticle remover on those that need it...but not everyone.

Hiya hun, I've just had a quick peek at your profile, it doesnt say anything about your training. Did they cover prep with whoever you trained with??

I never do a dry prep (not that I'm saying you shouldnt). I use a cuticle remover which "puffs up" the cuticle and dead tissue on the nail plate, and then remove it gently with a chisel (or whatever your chosen tool is). This is what you need to do for people with a lot of cuticle growth, and if you try a cuticle remover you will be amazed at how much more it removes than a dry prep. Additionally if I have clients with lots of cuticle growth I offer them a retail item for dissolving cuticle tissue.
