hi everyone, I did my CND Spa mani & pedi a couple of weeks ago and bought my tools.......I know I probably sound a bit daft but never really noticed at the time which way up Fee used the chisel and am worried about damaging the nail plate if I use it incorrectly. Also is it better to drag the tool towards you or to push towards the eponychium....hoe that makes sense and I don't sound utterly incompetent.....I'm practising on myself and friends at the moment and a bit paranoid that I'm not doing it properly.....I just want to make sure I'm getting it right....and that I can be confident in my technique before I unleash myself on the public!!
Thank you, Lou xx

You use it gently in the same way you would use any kind of chisel ... the sharp edge on the surface and the beveled edge uppermost.

Make sure you do not angle the chisel so as to gouge the nail surface .. keep the sharp edged blade, as paralell to the nail surface as you can and in this way you will only remove cuticle and not nail plate.

When you use the cuticle chisel together with CND Cuticle Away there is no need to be any more that super gentle as the Cuticle Away does 99% of the work for you.

Thank you Geeg, just needed a bit of reassurance. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and can worry a bit too much sometimes. But then I'd rather be like this than sloppy!! I am using cuticle away (I'm using all CND products) and have been super gentle ...... Just need to keep on practising now! Thanks again x
