cutting and maintaining curly hair

i have volumised curly hair but struggle to find a hair dresser who knows how to cut it! could you give me some tips on what styles and cuts are appropriate for curls. my hair is long - similar to shakira, but my curls are tighter. also any suggestions on the best way to maintain curls would be really appreciated.

My best advise would be to find a salon based on reputation and find a stylist with naturally curly hair, and book in with them for a consultation hth's
