Hello all,I am new to the forum......

I am needing help and advice on how to cover dark nail beds,I live and work in Bermuda and a lot of my clients like French. These ladies are black and are prone to nail moles which leave the nails brown.I find it very hard to get a nice coverage on the dark nails, the ladies want it to look like pink and white which is sometimes very difficult. Any advice or suggestions would be great.Jacquie:)

There are quite a few opaque pink varnishes - are you talking varnish or liquid and powder. If L&P (or gel) then there are now lots more choice in opaque coverage powders/gels for this specific reason.

Hi Fiona,I'm talking about polish.....even sometimes with the polish it can look dark.

I would warm up the pink with a gold undertone. I have recently discovered CND's sheer contentment and I like it over french white, on its own or with 1 coat of cotton fluff. I cant remember which way I layered it tho prob sheer over cotton fluff.
We have had an increase in African ladies here in Ireland and I find them to have a darker nailplate. You could also try using a ridgefilling basecoat as it will give a creamy colour to the nail as a base and will bring up the colour of your french pink more.
Hope that helps

Have you tried using a pink that is opaque instead of sheer and putting the white on top of the pink? What about introducing them to french in color like light purple with deep purple tips or red with black tips, etc.
