I am thinking about buying a lamp, to use while working mobile, Is it better to have a daylight light. I have seen lots of "manicure lamps" and daylight ones too, Is there much difference? I have seen a nice portable daylight lamp on amazon for £40, about the same as some other normal lamps with a clamp. What would be best to save me spending twice.

I'm interested in this aswell as I am currently looking at lamps. I quite like the look of the slimline manicure lamp and the twist portable lamp with carry bag from the daylight company but would be interested to hear feedback on others too.

I would say a daylight lamp every time. I work with these, used to have a normal lamp, the light is just better and kinder on the eyes. I love them! ;)

Daylight.....any day!

It comes down to a personal preference

Light bulbs all emit a different colour, which is reffered to as 'colour temperature'

The closer the colour temperature is to the sun, the more natural the colour appears.
Fluro tubes have a very low colour temperature, so everything appears kind of green tinged. Normal lamp bulbs are very close, but slightly lower than sunlight, so it's a very close colour to natural

A day light lamp simply has a higher colour temperature, which allows what you are looking at to look the same as if you were out side in the sun.
