I've actually just taken over a salon and discontinued Dermalogica and switched to Decleor.
There's a town not that far from me that has 5 Dermalogica salons in the same road. What's so special about the brand then?
To me and others I know, it's too clinical, the facials aren't anything special, products are 'ok' and the packaging is boring.
Decleor facials are fantastic. A back massage at the beginning of every facial to show the areas of congestion (I was sceptical before but it really does work) - this diagnoses your skin type, not what the client tells you as they are often wrong, 4 different anti-aging rages, not harsh for the skin and provide instant results, BEAUTIFUL packaging, the products do as the say and feel luxurious on your skin and provide outstanding results, and Decleor don't let another salon within a certain radius of another.
I had two girls in my salon, all they knew and loved was Dermalogica. And they admit this was only because they used it at college and didn't know anything else. They LOVE the Decleor products now and have put Dermalogica to the side.
I suppose I could have introduced any product and they'd have felt the same, but the point is that there are others out there. Phone a few up and see if they'll send you a sample pack.
