Hey,
I have a client who has developed this mass of skin at the back of his head. We have no idea what it is but the hair is growing through it. There seems to be pus underneath bits. He is distressed about it as he's getting married and can't get a proper haircut. Doc has given him shampoo, anti fungal cream and antibiotics and it's done nothing. Have any of you seen this before?? Or have any info I can give him to pleed with a doctor .

Ouch! It almost looks like a really bad case of ring worm that's been left untreated.
I definitely think he needs to see a GP again, and if they can't diagnose, then push to see a dermatologist.
Unfortunately I think it's past the point us being able to treat it at home.

If he has no luck with GP refer him to a private dermatologist

You could also suggest he tries a Trichologist as they specialise in treating hair and scalp issues. That might be a quicker option too.
