I have a client who is diabetic and wants her ears pierced. . . I am not happy doing this and have asked her to consult her GP and I will see what he says, and I would require a doctor's note. What do you all think? Has anyone else carried out ear piercing on a diabetic?

You should get advice from your insurance company first, they will give you advice regarding the`dr's note too.

I think you have done the right thing here. It's not worth risking your business and reputation for a few quid!
I had one client come to me and i asked her to go to GP and the letter came back saying that she couldn't have her ears pierced. She then went and got them done in Claires accessories and they went all infected and nasty. I know this because she comes to me for manicures. She actually said she respects me for not doing it!
